Team Ontario Announcement

We are excited to be able to announce the talented athletes that will make up Team Ontario, and compete at the Canada Games in the summer of 2025. We are looking forward to seeing your continued hard work pay off next summer in Newfoundland. Go to our news article here

Tryouts

2024/2025 Tryouts can commence Monday September 2nd. Coaches/Managers are asked to treat all athletes with respect and fairness. Open communication between both the coach and the family can help ease the stress that so many young ladies feel over the two weeks in which tryouts occur. Best of luck to all players, and we hope you are able to be a part of a team that will be a great experience for you in 2024/2025.

Rick Rogers Educational Fund

PWSA, Softball Ontario Umpires, Kitchener Minor Girls Softball and numerous other softball groups have joined together to organize a fund to support the family of Rick Rogers. We will facilitate donations through e-transfer. Thank you to all of you that have reached out and offered ideas on how we can best support the family. CanPitch Information

Canpitch was created to introduce and develop the fundamental skills of windmill pitching to Canada’s beginner pitchers. Canpitch instructors in each province teach a nationally standardized curriculum founded in Long Term Player Development (LTPD) principles that reflect an athlete-centered approach to learning. For more information, check out our CanPitch page.     CanPitch

Thank You to Our Volunteers

PWSA would like to thank the volunteers across the province that support our events. Without hosts for our qualifier and grand championship events we wouldn't be able to offer these great events to culminate the current playing season. This summer we are happy to see some new venues for our athletes. Thank you to all who will be contributing in making these events a success throughout July & August this summer.

Social Media

PWSA has made the decision to discontinue posting to X (Twitter). We have elected to focus our social media posts onto Facebook and Instagram. You can find us on both of these platforms by searching for PWSA ONTARIO.

We love to see teams, players and fans interact with our posts, and tagging us in your stories. We will try and share these throughout the summer to help spread the love of the game!

PWSA Land Acknowledgement

The Provincial Women's Softball Association's activities take place on the traditional Indigenous territories across the province we now call Ontario, and we are thankful to be able to play our sport and live on this land. We believe it is important to offer a land acknowledgement as a way to recognize, respect and honour this territory, the treaties, the original occupants, their ancestors, and the historic connection they still have with this territory.  For the full acknowledgement please see the link below   Land Acknowledgement
