Team Ontario Communication

First and foremost, we hope that your summer season has been great up until this point! With all of the scouting we have been completing over the first few months of our season, we are extremely excited about the talent that this generation of athletes has to offer! We have been receiving some questions about next steps for Team Ontario and wanted to send out a communication to outline the next steps in the Team Ontario process. 
 

Team Ontario coaches and pool coaches will be out and have been out to see you and your team
play in the Canadian Qualifiers and Grand Championships over the next couple of weekends. 

1. Team Ontario will be hosting an INVITE ONLY Final Selection Camp for both age groups. The
   2006/2007 final selection camp will be held on the weekend of August 25-27. The
   2008/2009/2010 age group will be held in mid-September. Invites will be sent via e-mail and/or
   phone call to each athlete that has been selected to attend the final selection camp. 
2. The final selection camp will consist of team-bonding, sport-specific testing, on field situational
   testing and several exhibition games for the athletes. These teams will be coached by Team
   Ontario coaches.
3. Following the final selection camp, Team Ontario will notify the athletes that have been selected
   to be a part of the Team Ontario winter training program during the 2023-2024 off-season, which
   will include sport-specific training, showcase events, off-season strength and conditioning
   program, and/or a spring tour. 
4. During the 2024 season, selected athletes will participate in the 2024 Canada Cup/European
   Tour/Canada Summer Games test event. 
5. Team Ontario will then host out final selection camp in the fall of 2024, where 15 athletes and 5
   alternates will be selected to represent Team Ontario. 
6. Athletes selected for the 2025 Canada Summer Games team will only play for Team Ontario in
   the 2025 season and will not play for a summer club team. This will be the rostered team that
   competes in the 2025 Canada Summer Games in Newfoundland.
